Teachscape consultants are hardworking professionals who, as experienced and expert instructional leaders, have demonstrated their ability to make a significant difference in teaching and learning. As part of their work with Teachscape, consultants plan, facilitate, assess, and continuously improve rigorous, outcomes-focused professional learning that is designed to enhance the capacity of instructional leaders to improve both instruction and student achievement in their schools and districts.
Using Teachscape's research-based methodology, tools, and online learning resources, our consultants work closely with Teachscape staff to provide support for professional learning communities of instructional leaders focused on:
- Using data to inform and differentiate instruction
- Deepening pedagogical content knowledge
- Understanding and applying effective research-based practices
- Developing needs-based programs of study for teachers
- Monitoring instructional improvement
As a vigorous, growing organization, Teachscape periodically expands its services by contracting with talented professionals who are passionate about making effective teaching and learning a reality in every classroom in every school in the country. We expect much from Teachscape consultants and, in return, offer you the training you need to develop your expertise and experience success implementing professional learning programs proven effective in improving teaching and learning.
We are currently looking for consultants in the following targeted geographic areas: the District of Columbia, Illinois, Michigan, the state of Washington, and the Southeast region. Additionally, we are seeking English Language Learner specialists in Northern and Southern California. If you are not currently residing in one of these areas, we invite you to consider us in the future as you expand your portfolio of clients.
Job Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of effective adult learning strategies and practices
- Up-to-date knowledge of proven, research-based instructional practices
- Strong presentation, communication, and coaching skills
- A commitment to helping instructional leaders improve teaching and learning
- A track record of success as teachers and instructional leaders
- Commitment to using technology to support and enhance adult learning
- Enthusiasm and excitement about continuous learning
