With the goal of enriching the knowledge and skills of teachers across all grades, Effective Instruction Institutes hone in on the strategies and practices proven to improve student learning.

Our selection of Effective Instruction Institutes includes:

• Teaching with the High Yield Strategies - Grades K-12
  The High Yield Strategies Institute is designed to offer teachers and leaders a three-day overview of the nine high yield instructional strategies codified by Robert Marzano, the research that informed these, and the implications for practice.
• Instructional Decision Making and Planning - Grades K-5/6
  Effective planning is the key element in teaching for results. This Institute is designed to provide teachers and instructional leaders clear strategies for planning that reflect data-informed teaching and learning needs, local standards and clearly defined outcomes.
• Supporting Effective ELL Practices: Resources for Leaders - Grades K-12
  This Institute for instructional leaders is designed to provide leaders with resources to understand the challenges English language learners face and strategies for building a school community that recognizes their needs and celebrates their accomplishments. Among others, the topics studied in this Institute include theories of second language acquisition, the legal aspects of serving ELLs, and the benefits and constraints of assessment for these students.
