Teachscape Institutes. Focused Learning.

Often, school districts want to make an impact in a focused area of professional learning over a fairly short period of time. Teachscape's Institutes bring teachers and instructional leaders together over a selected topic with the goals of creating a shared understanding of the research and developing a common vocabulary for understanding the work. These in-service programs offer critical professional learning and set the stage for more ongoing, job-embedded Programs of Study.

District participants begin with an exceptional, two-day professional workshop designed to begin the professional learning process, develop a common plan for action, and introduce research-based best practices. Participants then work through online resources and collaboration tools as they seek to incorporate the new learning into practice. A third workshop day is offered later on to reflect on their work, share resources, collaborate on future improvement goals, and to support the ongoing professional learning community.
