Professional Development Grounded in Research
The Teachscape Professional Learning Suite is solidly grounded in research to elevate teacher performance. Originally based on studies of effectiveness in literacy coaching and instruction, the online professional development program now includes many other content areas.
Understanding the Impact of Authentic, Online Teaching Practice
Since early 2005, Teachscape has partnered with The University of Chicago, Lesley University, The Ohio State University, and Stanford University in a U.S. Department of Education Teacher Quality Grant. In this grant, numerous issues have been explored around literacy coaching and the improvement of literacy instruction.
As part of this grant, Teachscape created the online case-study engine functionality that is the backbone to Teachscape Professional Learning Suite. Over time, many other content libraries have been added that use the same powerful structure developed from the Teacher Quality Grant study.
