Quickly Impact Professional Practice with Focused Learning

Teachscape institutes are designed to impact a specific area of professional learning in three 1-day face-to-face sessions over six weeks. Institutes set the stage for ongoing, job-embedded programs of study by addressing critical topics for teachers and instructional leaders that include:

• How to use data to inform instruction and planning 
• Questioning and ongoing assessment
• Support for beginning teachers

By using research-based practices, Teachscape institutes help in the development of a common language for understanding the topic and an action plan for professional development.

Teachscape institutes employ a blended learning approach that includes presentations, facilitated discussions, readings, and guided practice in two face-to-face training sessions to introduce the research and methodology, followed by online group and independent studies, and closing with a third face-to-face session.

All institutes include participant journals, professional literature, and online resources featuring video case studies, sample student work, research, lesson plans, reflection prompts, and discussion topics.
